Summary

Established in Castle Rock, Colorado in 1982, Mark C. Williams’ law practice focuses on helping families resolve matters related to divorce, legal separations, common law marriages, parent-child paternity and child support enforcement legal actions. His experienced and compassionated approach to resolving family conflicts places the needs of the parties’ children first to preserve the importance of the parent-child future relationships while resolving all their financial matters and property interests. His first experience with family law practice came through his employment upon graduation from law school with the Colorado Judiciary working for a District Court Judge in Douglas County, Colorado.

In addition to developing your legal strategies and effectively advocating your interest in Court in the traditional attorney-client relationship, Mr. Williams also provides mediation services which are modeled after the enormously successful Minnesota Early Neutral Evaluation (ENE) alternative dispute resolution program. ENE mediation is a multidisciplinary approach to dispute resolution enlisting both legal and mental heath professionals. It is a gender neutral team effort where Mr. Williams combines his legal knowledge with a female mental health professional experienced with Child and Family Investigations. Together, they provide the parties with a confidential neutral environment to present, explore, and develop resolutions to family conflicts. As part of the ENE process, the mediation team will provide an initial assessment of your family circumstances and make specific recommendations to assist the parties in a self-determination resolution of their own disputes.

By choosing to establish his private law practice in a small growing community on the edge of the Denver Metropolitan area, Mr. Williams was afforded numerous opportunities to be actively involved in community leadership and public service. Mr. Williams has served in community civic organizations including Douglas County Lions Club, Castle Rock Rotary, St. Francis Knights of Columbus, Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, Castle Rock Economic Development Council, S.E. Denver & Douglas County Economic Development Council, and Greater Castle Rock Art Guild.

Mr. Williams has been privilege to serve his community as a Castle Rock Town Council Member and Mayor of Castle Rock. During is service on Town Council and as Mayor of Castle Rock he worked on the Public Safety Commission, Planning Commission, Management & Budget Commission, Public Utilities Commission, Fire Pension Board, Metro Mayors Association, Denver Regional Council of Governments, and Colorado Municipal League. He is currently serving on the Castle Rock Down Town Commission charged with the responsibility of developing a Down Town Master Plan and implementing development guidelines to assist in the re-development of the Historical Down Town District of Castle Rock.
